Wrong place, wrong time














4 words...Wrong place, wrong time.
Chris Nudd and I went to Kelowna mon-tues and while we were at his parents house we came accross a site with crazy plane pictures. Thought I'd share this with you. Take special note of the posture of the guy right below the plane's nose. I'm thinking I'd be prayin' hard at this point.


Wasn't Panic Squad so funny last weekend? If you didn't go, you missed a funny show. They were so funny that.. yes I laughed hard, but no i didn't pee my pants. Who would even suggest that anyway?

Pee your pants at Panic Squad?

Well, this girl was actually going off of a rollercoaster, but seriously, Panic Squad is going to be soooo funny this weekend! So much so, that you may laugh so hard that your gut will hurt... or worse!

So buy tickets to the panic squad this weekend and maybe ask a friend to come that has never been to youth group or a church before?!

The Gooder:
Again, this is the new part of the blog that highlights a thought from my brain that will inspire or encourage you in you walk with God. Well, hopefully! I've been reading Paul's letter to the church in Philippi for the past 2 weeks. I glossed over the verse in Philippians 4 that talks about "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things"... and after that moment of glossing, I thought I'd better read it again. It totally made sense, I mean it is straight forward and easy to understand. But then I turned to verse 9 that says "whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put into practise". ok, hold up. That's rough. Do you think I'm always thinking about this? Not really, but I should. I should be making sure that I am an example of seeking those things in life. Why would people follow a leader that doesn't seek those things?
So, I decided today... that this verse needs to be a priority. Do you believe it should be a priority in your life? What are some things that you think you could do without? How do you think it will affect your person by living either way?

Over 12 feet of snow???

The Snow is not thawing! Good thing it's quite the opposite! yep that's right... over 12 feet of snow, mid-mountain base at Mt. Washington. I heard someone say that they are ranked the 4th best ski hill conditions in the world! Hard to believe eh? Well, that's what I heard.


RANDOM STUFF:
Anyways, January blew by eh? Man, it feels like we were just celebrating our NB4NY... and now it's February 1st! The 40 Day adventure's going really well at Crave on Wednesdays. We're hitting our 2nd week tonight of diving into learning about "Boat Potatoes". You'll have to come to find out what that means! Good news about the Engage forum... start posting again because it is up and running again!

THE GOODER:
I want to share a segment once in while that I call "the gooder". I want the readers of this blog to know that it's not always random humour, and that there's actually some depth in this brain of mine.
I came out of a week this week of really seeking God. I had an awesome time of prayer with Dwayne (yes Dwayne the youth leader) and great discussion with another Youth Pastor. He gaveme these verses that I want to share with you. It's Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." I feel that the peace of God and the times of prayer I've had have only confirmed that I want to follow God to the end. Things will come and go, things will pass away or get boring, yet God will always be there. We don't need to worry, just seek him first (Mt. 6:33) and show him... prove to him... that he is #1 in your life.
